The SDI Rescue Diver course expands your knowledge and experience as a diver. This course gives you valuable experience in emergency management. You’ll learn how to perform diver assists and rescues, manage dive accident situations and render first aid.
What is the Requirement?
· Minimum age – 15 years old(SDI Junior Rescue Diver Course)
· SDI Advanced Diver certification (or equivalent from another training organization) or 40 more logged dives
· Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR – Primary Care) within past 24 months (or Emergency First Responder)
· Valid Basic First Aid (Secondary Care) within past 24 months (or Emergency First Responder)
What is in this Course?
· 1 Theory session (Flexible)
· 1 Pool session (3~6 hours)
· 5 Open Water Scuba Dives
· Full equipment rental
· 2D/2N Full board trip to Malaysia
· Instructor fees (ratio for practical sessions – 6 students : 1 instructor)
· Certification fees
What will you be learning?
Within SDI Rescue Diver Certification Course, you will learn to broaden your focus not only to your skills and the environment, but also to other divers as well. You will learn to prevent and manage dive emergencies if necessary, in turn increasing your skill level and confidence. The syllabus includes:
· The psychology of rescue
· Being prepared for a diver emergency
· Accident management
· Responding to diver emergencies
How long does it take?
